Board of Directors

  • Punit dhesi - President

As President of Serve Society, I believe a simple haircut is never just that. My personal recovery journey, along with my experiences in filmmaking, barbering, and addiction counseling, all come together here to create something much deeper—a movement of service, storytelling, and human connection. In my free time, I enjoy kickboxing, yoga, hiking, photography and making beats—anything that keeps me grounded, creative, and connected.

  • Jill Bishop - Member

I’m a senior fundraising professional with nearly three decades of philanthropic leadership and two decades of corporate experience in media, marketing, and finance. My passion lies in helping small to mid-sized nonprofits build capacity and strengthen their impact. Over the years, I’ve led fundraising efforts for organizations including major theater companies, the Tucson Jazz Festival, Classical 88.1FM, and the Esperanza Dance Project. I’m deeply community-minded and have served on numerous nonprofit boards. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, travel, reading, and live music with friends—and I’m excited to help Serve Society grow its presence and impact in Tucson.

  • David Bornstein - treasurer

I was born and raised here in Tucson. I earned a BA in Education from the University of Arizona and taught elementary school for several years. In 2006, I made a career change and am now managing partner at Bornstein Tax Service, providing tax and accounting services for individuals and small businesses here in the community. I am excited for the opportunity to serve on the board of Serve Society.

  • Anthony Negrete - Member

I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and I’m proud to be the co-owner of Barber Supply Co, where we’re dedicated to supporting barbers through quality products, education, and community connection. Beyond business, I’m passionate about giving back through Serve society , a nonprofit organization I’m involved with that focuses on outreach, mentorship, and service to those in need.

I also coach youth soccer with RSL-Az Southern, where I have the opportunity to mentor young athletes and help them grow not just as players, but as individuals. Whether it’s through business, service, or sports, my goal is to make a lasting impact in the Tucson community helping others grow, give, and lead with purpose.

  • Aisha Kaur - Secretary

I’m a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Nurse and the Secretary of Serve Society, where I use my organization and communication skills to support our mission. My experience in healthcare has shown me how meaningful small gestures can be—something as simple as a haircut can restore confidence and brighten someone’s spirit. Outside of work, I love creating content and teaching dance as ways to connect, uplift, and inspire others.
